The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the African continent will continue to linger for a long time to come. As at March 2020, reports showed that over 39million secondary school students were affected by the lockdowns in Nigeria alone.

As part of our contributions towards mitigating this challenge, Vilsquare and Meluibe Foundation with support from their partners  have deployed VoltSchool – an ICT enabled learning platform for secondary school education.

VoltSchool is deployed at https://voltschool.com and hosts learning materials that conform to the curriculum of the West African Examination Council as well as those of anglophone West Africa’s member states.  The platform employs a user friendly, low cost and high impact approach in its delivery methodology.

We are grateful to everyone who  has supported this project, especially our teacher community. These teachers along with every other member of the project team have given freely of their knowledge, expertise, time and effort with one goal in mind – to empower our youth for a better future.

Alpha tests successfully ran from June 22 to July 8, 2020 across Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and The Gambia. Beta testing begins on July 9, 2020.

Welcome to a new dawn. Welcome to VoltSchool.
